Many thanks for the image of Atractomorpha; from the photograph and the external look it is Atractomorpha crenulata, if the hind wing base is observed it should be pink to red at base and is hyaline; however, to be sure it would be better to have the specimen in hand. There is also a possibility of having subspecies form Sri Lanka.
donc +1 pour Atractomorpha crenulataYes, indeed I suspect a subspecies that may be new, restricted to the Sri Lankan island, but we need the male preferably for this. Another alternative would be to have the hind wing spread to see the details and close up of head showing ocelli and antenna clearly. The placement of ocelli in relation to antennae is a good character to identify Atractomorpha burri and A. psittacina; however, these species are found in North-east India and A. crenulata almost everywhere. From the literature, Kirby had mentioned the occurrence of the species Atractomorpha scabra, which has been considered a synonym of A. crenulata by Kevan. Of course we have to take into consideration the intra-specific phenotypic plasticity / morphological variations within species.
For the present we can consider it as A. crenulata, and, if possible see the specimens (especially males) for confirming any subspecies.
