According to the key prepared by Faust (1898, https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/33210449 and quoted in the insecte.org forum page linked to above), the following characters are distinctive for Curanigus:

Broad furrows in the prosternum in front of the procoxae
Rostrum straight, almost cylindrical
The funicle of the antennae having seven segments, these thickened towards the club.
Metaventrite at least as long as the first two abdominal segments combined
Hind legs much more strongly developed than the front ones
