Salut Bruno,
I assume that the lack of pigmentation is an optical artefact. Sminthurus viridis has a patchy pigmentation of greenish, yellowish, brownish patches arranged in a complex pattern. I noticed only a few setae (often mistakenly called 'hairs') on the globular body of this specimen. This is an indication that most of the globular body is out of focus. There should be many large, almost spinelike, setae on its body. The depth of field is quite small and apparently you have focussed on the head, therefore the body is out of focus and appears as such to be without pigmentation. The result is quite an artistic picture ;-) Kind regards, Frans
